Jhene Aiko is an American R&B artist and singer. She became famous in 2011 for the mixtape called Sailing Souls(s) which was released through her site. In her teens, she began her singing career with the R&B band B2K. She was introduced as a 'cousin' of B2K rapper Lil Fizz which was a fake promotion strategy to draw the audience. Sail Out The Worst Uh Huh was one of the hits she had. Another one of her songs that became a huge hit was Why I love You. In 2002, she made her debut as a singer-songwriter on the soundtrack to the movie The Master of Disguise by singing the track Cherry Pie. Also, she appeared in the former ORyans' debut music video, Take It Slow. She mainly works in genres such as R&B Hip-Hop and Rap. The artist gained a lot of attention with her track 3:16AM that was released by well-known publishing company A&R. The track is available for digital download via iTunes. It was when she was asked to collaborate with Canadian rapper Drake and contribute to Nothing Was the SAME that she became internationally recognized.
