Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. Her family was home-schooled by her mother and her father, in USA. Raised with racial remarks and being made to feel unwelcome. In the ninth grade, after a school audition in which she received high praise for her voice and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. This not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both her big break. The part in The Lad of The Lake was her greatest break, earning her the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater appreciation. The actress is also a renowned performer and has released an extended play. In addition, she's an activist who fights to protect LGBT rights.
